The result of recent timber harvest operations can be a bleak landscape with a brash coverage of twigs, bark strippings and small limbs. A landscape left in this condition, would take decades to recover to full vegetation with native species. DMS can clean these areas of the debris of timber harvest. The area, once cleared, can be sculpted to retain more water, and the brash, once litter across the area, can be recycled and selectively applied as mulch materials to the site in question or used in other sites.
Using our specially designed uplifted excavators our ability to work within the forests is unique. Our excavators are fitted with low ground pressure ‘bogmaster’ tracks enabling them to reach very inaccessible areas. Together with experienced operators we can clear brash areas to any requirements the client may have.
